Belly Changes

Okay, I have grown:)! I'm feeling great and getting ready for school, which means back to work. I wasn't too excited about this reality, but everyday that passes means I am that much closer to being a mom and that makes every day of work a good day. Plus, with fall comes COUGAR football and other adventures.

I decided to show you all my belly because the truth is...I can't hide it and no longer want to. I had to buy some new "teacher" clothes to fit my expanding waste line, but it was fun and I am looking forward to showing off my bump.

20.5 Weeks

This morning was my 20 week ultrasound done to check for proper growth and development. They cannot legally tell you if all is well, so I'll know in a few days. Looked good to us though:)! She was laying with her head towards my right side and feet towards my left, with her face buried in my back side SO... we didn't get good face pictures and we have to go back in a few weeks. She currently weights 1.2 pounds, bigger than I thought:)! It was exciting to watch and I'll keep everyone updated.

She was so happy to show off, she gave us a thumb's up.
Her second toe is longer than the first, a trait both Scott and I share.
And all of this is inside this belly!

Kristal in New York

We saw Kristal today after her 6 week trip to the big city of New York. She gained skills and experienced crazy city life and we are glad to have her back. She has all kinds of stories so when you see her, ask her about them:)!

She saw mamma mia, little mermaid, and the lion king on broadway:) FUN!

She braved the subway system everyday.
Visited the museum where "Knight at the Museum" was filmed as well as the MET.
Saw central park,
bums and all:)
Met the star from aquamarine.

Well, here she is! I will have better video when I figure out how to convert medical imaging into usable files, but this will work for now:).

The picture below is pointing to the "girl parts".

Boat Races and the Belly

Boat races was very entertaining. Everyone got along and enjoyed the sun, the water, and the festivities. I don't know what is better than spending time with family and friends!

Our pregnancy is going well. Prayers were answered and everything is okay with the baby:)! We are all feeling great and excited of course. After asking how we feel and if we are having a boy or girl, and the next most frequent question is, "have you thought of any names?". So far, we have Lila. And I am asking viewers of this blog to vote on a spelling... Lyla, Lilah, or Lila. So let us know! I should have some better ultrasound pictures tomorrow so stay tuned:)!

Here is the belly!

Here are some other boat race pictures and my Roxy, because I love my dogs!

Gender:)

95 % sure we are having a girl. I had an appointment today with my doctor and unfortunately, the ultrasound machine there is not very clear, so she could not tell the sex. But luckily, we have friends who do ultrasounds with access to better machines, and we got our news.

Not fun news, I started spotting Friday night and was very freaked out. The doctor said don't worry but I had to know what was going on so we spend Saturday morning in the ER (the only place that takes pregnant people on the weekend). Everything is okay for now, but after going to my regular doctor on Monday, I have to do NOTHING for the next week or until the spotting stops. So anyway, please pray for us and know that I'm doing fine and God gives peace:).

Bump in Seattle

Even though I still believe my bump is the result of an excessive intake of french fries and ice cream, I have decided to find some shirts that announce that I am pregnant and not simply overindulgent! Seattle provides excellent opportunities to do just that. So with my first maternity shirt, I give you the bump...seattle style! Oh, have I mentioned the abundance of 7-11 stores? I love my slurpees:)!!!
